Alex Afshar is the Managing Director at Dolanto, a consultancy dedicated to shaping infrastructure stories that guide investment decisions. With over two decades of experience, Alex has played pivotal roles in strategy design, policy influence, and operational tactics across transport, healthcare, telecommunications, and mining sectors in Australia, the Middle East, and North America.

He currently serves as a Project Gateway Reviewer for the Department of Treasury and Finance in Victoria and is an accredited Asset Management System Assessor and Technical Expert with JAS-ANZ under ISO 55001, overseeing more than 100 certifications.

​

Alex also represents Australia in the Global Forum for Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM), focusing on digital transformations.

Outside his professional realm, he is a triathlete and a non-executive board member for non-profit organisations. His broad experience and dynamic lifestyle equip him to mentor and inspire future leaders in both the public and private sectors.

Sally boasts over 45 years of experience in asset management and corrosion engineering and is a co-author and editor of "Living Asset Management Maturity". She is passionate about passing on the lessons learned from these years: initiating and building teams and organisations to deliver outcomes to key stakeholders. This requires developing an understanding of the bigger picture, financial management, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, risk management, and communication. Her core values include accountability, tolerance, teamwork, and integrity.

As a university academic, Dr. Subhash Sharma has made significant contributions to the field of Asset Management. He transformed the postgraduate maintenance management programme into one aligned with ISO 55000 standards. He has supervised numerous student research projects and six PhDs. Dr. Sharma also co-authored a book on "Clean Energy" and has undertaken various consulting roles for the private sector, as well as executing multiple government-funded research projects. He has over 80 research publications in esteemed international journals and conferences to his credit.

Fatemeh is a Technical Fellow at Dolanto, where she advises the team on AI projects. She also serves as an AI Scientist at Microsoft, specialising in digital humans and computer vision for augmented and virtual reality applications. Prior to her current roles, Fatemeh conducted research as a scientist at Samsung AI Center, focusing on self-supervised representation learning. Before transitioning to the industry, Fatemeh completed her PhD at the Australian National University, where her research centered on weakly-supervised representation learning and scene understanding. She also held a research fellow position at the Australian Centre for Robotic Vision (ACRV), where she worked on pioneering technologies for AI-based human behavior and activity analysis.

Sadegh serves as a technical fellow at Dolanto and holds the position of Senior AI Scientist at Microsoft Mixed Reality & AI. His work focuses on advancing technologies in virtual and augmented reality, virtual presence in remote collaboration, and digital human representation. Sadegh earned his PhD at the Australian National University, specialising in generative modelling of human motion. During his PhD journey, Sadegh also contributed to research at Amazon Science, Five AI, and Qualcomm AI Research, exploring diverse applications of AI and machine learning.

John is an AI scientist with deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Machine Learning. He specialises in advancing technologies in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Information Retrieval Systems. His work in model fine-tuning, evaluation, and interface development drives smarter solutions for organisational challenges.

John earned his Bachelor’s degree and is currently pursuing a Master of Data Science at the University of Melbourne.

Kevin is a dedicated data scientist currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Data Science at Monash University. His expertise spans data analysis, machine learning, and AI, with a proven ability to apply these skills to real-world challenges. Kevin has worked on a range of impactful projects, including analysing California housing prices using machine learning, predicting stock price fluctuations based on earnings surprises, and leveraging AI to automate medical image analysis. His technical skills include Python, R, and various data science tools, making him a versatile problem solver.
